AI value resets a few seconds after write.

Initially I was getting a "Current block mode does not allow writes" error when writing to an AI tag from a datalink in iFIX 5.8. I've since enabled output on the tag within database manager, however, the value accepts the write for only a few seconds before it resets back to the value prior to the write.

Has anyone experienced this? Please advise.
