GE QuickPanel+, Historical Trend Duration Time

Good day for all of you.

I got a Historical trend i have configured on a QuickPanel+:

Scan rate : 30.0, Pixel scale: 1

with the purpose of see a big portion of time from process logged data in one
sight.

When i switch to scroll mode, the "scan rate" became unavailable (i can not
change it from the menu that pop from touching the trend) and i only can see
11 minutes of data in one screen, more or less five samples only (my guess
is the scan rate automatically change to 0.1). I need see more data in one
screen, increasing the period of time visible, the so called duration time, in
scroll mode to be able to see unless 3 hours of historical data in one sight.
This is needed because the process has a long cycle.

¿How can I manipulated Scan rate in scroll mode of Historical trend ?
¿There is another way of trending long periods of historical data on QP+ ?

Set Trend Sliders from Script

Hello,

I would like to auto start a trend display on a particular time period and with the sliders on a specific time.

I can set the lines and time Axis but I am can't find any info on how to set the two sliders.

Anyone have any ideas?

No see a Trend in client station

Good afternoon!

I need some help as to access the tables "DATA_LOG" analog points created in the server database, client station in the network configuration "Terminal server".

When creating a new sentence in "Trend Control Properties" by selecting "CIMPLICITY Logging - POINTS" does not appear the variable table "DATA_LOG" of what is configured on the server.

I can not see the history variables for the client station, just in "cimserver" server. :confused:

SIM or SM2 Driver with Boolean values via OPC

Hi to all,

I try to create a interface with a SM2/SIM Driver to simulated a interface of
a PLC to connect/control a Batch Management system from Siemens (PMQ).

The interface is done by a Connection via OPC of iFIX.

I use "DR" Tagnames for Boolean Tags, which are controled by the value of "F_CV".

But this value is give by the OPC interface as "Floating point 32-Bit" and can not be using within PMQ (Boolean Type required).

Is there a other way/hint to get a "Boolean Tag" via OPC for a SIM Driver. I need the variable within the SCADA network, because of two redundancy servers.

Is there a other SIM Driver which supports such a function ?

Up to now, I would like to avoid the creation of an additional data block in the PLC and access these values by the IGS driver, which supports the correct data type.

Add scrolls bars to webspace session

We are running iFIX 5.8 and Webspace 4.7. Our main SCADA server uses 1920x1200 resolution and we would like to be able to view webspace sessions on monitors with smaller resolutions than this, eg add scrolls bars or similar to the page.

Can this be done? If so what is required as I cannot find anything in the literature.

Client-only tags

Hi all,

In Siemens WinCC it is possible to configure internal tags as client only, so each client can write its ow value to the variable. Is this also possible with Cimplicity virtual points ?

Error code 1103: No Service Libraries are loaded

Hi,
We have 2 iFix5.5 (Active-Standby) in Production level and last week our boss ask us to built a testing environment in out lab. After we rebuilt the iFix in the new windows 2008 Server same as the production, we started the iFix in demo mode for testing. Every thing seems okay, but we have a customer EDA program which will write a float value to one AI tag, which using IGS driver. After execute Eda.SetOneFloat(1), our EDA program terminated with return code 1103 but the same program works fine in the production.
We also tried to write to the other AI tag using SM driver and it works fine just like normal. Can anybody kindly provide some insights or hints for what going on?

IGS question

About 2 years ago we bought something called, "IGS Basic Protocols" (Industrial Gateway Server) from our Historian reseller. We've never used it but are contemplating it now. My understanding was that it is a toolkit for 3rd parties to pull data out of historian. One of our developers is asking if IGS supports JDBC connections. Does anyone know? If so, is there a white paper out there on setup & configuration?

LineChart

Dear community,

As my nickname suggests, I am a fan of Cimplicity, however today I got a question regarding iFIX, LineChart object (Fix2DLineChart).

I've been asked to open a detailed report (using Historian data) whenever a user clicks on the chart. I know I can get X and Y coordinates by subscribing to MouseUp event. However, somehow I need to be able to tell what time user selected on the X Axis when he or she clicked on point on the graph.

How could this be done? I found GetPointAt method but it only accepts index...
Any help is welcome. Thanks.

This is 5.8. I had the same problem when I tried 5.1.

For those with a new "Advantage License" and GlobalCare, Solution Provider Program or OEM Agreement, Proficy ME 9.00 is now available for download. :D

Keep in mind that this has a new GUI so will likely be a bit of a "Learning Curve" for those who have been using Proficy ME for a while. :( :eek:

Take your time, learn the new GUI and lets "HOPE" that this version proves to be trouble free and mostly error free. :p :D :rolleyes:

Just Have Fun with it. :cool:

VersaPro import to ME7

Hello,

I have a trial version of ME7 and am trying to import the old versapro project, written with 2.03 or 2.04, im not sure. if it matters is there a tag in the versapro project that would tell me this? .

I got this from the ME feedback window,

Importing project ****.fld
Importing Hardware Configuration...
Importing Folder File...
Importing Smart Store...
Importing Variable File...
Warning 8031: .....

about 20x

Import failure


So i manually removed the offending characters prior to the import and I dont get the warnings anymore. But I do get the import failure without any error number or indication as to why it failed.

Is there a "verbose mode" or other log file with more detail? What would come next once the variable file was imported successfully?

Any other places to look? Eventually we would migrate off versapro if this import could carryover properly.

Background Tasks not working

Greetings!

Hello to Everyone,

If I may ask please, need help please in this issue that we got.
We have an SOE System that records triggered events, the tags are tied to our IGS OPC from the Allen Bradley SOE card. We have a tasks running in the background (under Schedules, EVENTQUEUE) and each has scripts. The tasks are an event based entries, and will write all the events on that time in the C Drive. But for some reason there are no events being saved in the C Drive, even if we manually triggered events, still nothing is being save. But if we are going to restart the server, then we can see the events. after a while, events are not being save again, so we have to restart the server again. If I am going to manually restart the Proficy iFIX Background Scheduler I got an error,

New server doesn't like collectors

We just fired up a new Historian Server. We use Proficy Machine Edition collectors (Quickpanel View) HMIs to grab machine data and transmit to Historian. Been doing it for years.

I set the IP address of the H server in the QP's properties, downloaded via PME and... I get this error message in Historian admin client Messages...
Unknown(NT Authority\AnonymousLogon) failed login at date time (version=pre-5.0).
Does anyone know what this means? This is the first time we've pointed our collectors to a box with a new server name. That's the only difference besides moving from Historian v5.0 to v5.5.

What am I missing?

ihrawdata oledb connection in excel timestamp shown only in minutes

Well, this is sincerely a little embarrassing, but i am trying to show a costumer how to read data easily from Historian using excel (not the add in) i make an OLEDB connection and call the iHrawdata table, but the timestamp interval is shown in minutes, not in seconds, how can i change that?

I have a current customer who is using Cimplicity and want to upgrade their current system. I was wondering if it was possible to switch from cimplicity to ifix fairly easily or are they completely different? (i.e. database, historical files etc.)
