Hi,
I am testing Proficy PA - ERP (SAP) integration. Using Proficy PA, Proficy Workflow, Proficy Open enterprise
Come across some B2MML mapping and schemas in Plant Apps, Workflow and Open Enterprise as well, these are mainly related to,
-- Production Schedule
-- Production Performation/Confirmation
-- Order Confirmation Mapping
If I want to do mapping of "Material Master" from ERP to MES then how I can Proceed further with PA/Workflow/Open Enterprise, because I am not able to find mapping/schemas for Material Master. Whether I need to use Material Module of Workflow and How I can relate this with PA and Openenterprise
Thanks in advance

I have been attempting to reload firmware version 2.20 into two CMM321's without success. These are -EF and -DE versions with AAUI ports, which I use. These modules both assume the software load state automatically several seconds after being powered up (four lights flashing). The Winloader connects to the module, but I get a message:
"Unable to erase FLASH memory on target. Update error: bad request status"
Some background
I decided to attempt to reinstall firmware after both modules booted up with an OK light, but no LAN light activity even though it would normally be happening. On other, good modules I get a flashing LAN light in the same PLC.
The CPU is a CPU351. I'm running winloader on Windows 8 through a USB-Serial converter and an RS-232/485 converter. This setup works well when loading programs into the CPU351 via the RS485 port.
I see in GFK-1541 that removing an AAUI connnector when running can blow to AAUI fuse. I think I did that out of ignorance. Would this not result in a lit OK light and no LAN light? If so, can the fuse be fixed?
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Good morning. I'm currently working on a .NET (C#) application with Cimplicity's Alarm Viewer ocx placed within a windows form. I'm trying to write code that will allow me to copy the alarm information from the event I have selected into either text boxes on the form or a datagrid cell. I've been having trouble accessing the click event of my viewer, however. Am I going about this the right way or should I be writing a routine to port incoming alarms to a datagridview in which I would have better control over its click events?
This pseudo code below may give you a better idea of what I'm trying to accomplish
private void amvocxview1_alarmitemclick(object sender, alarmitemclickevent e)
{
//Upon click/selecting of an alarm displayed copy the message to the textbox...
textBox2.Text = e.alarmItemInfo.alarmMessage;
}

Is there a way to "lock" an object's size so that it cannot be scaled? I am trying to build a group consisting of a few objects one of which is a button panel. This group can be re-sized for different applications but I want the button panel to remain the same size. Is there some way to do this?
Thanks,

I am just planning a migration from our exiting historian win2003 server to a new win 2008r2 64 bit server on VMware.
I have 7 ifix collectors on remote servers and approx 50 clients that access historian through ifix.
I have don't have an opportunity to take the system offline for more than an hour, so im looking for any experience anyone has has in this process.
I also need to migrate 12 years of data to the new server.
The new server will be different name and different IP address.
Or white papers from GE for this.
Thanks

I have Cimplicity 8.0 HMI redundant system running on Windows server 2008 OS and facing problem with server redundancy.
Problems:
1) System Alarm Message " $RTR_link_down - Node Server1 detects link to Server2 is Down " is generated on server 1 and " $RTR_link_down - Node Server2 detects link to Server2 is Down " alarm message is generated on Server 2.
2) HMI Access Login done from Server1 automatically shows (appears ) Logout, but when HMI Screen is changed to other Screen through navigation , it shows correct Login .All the screens have same Issue in displaying Login, once Login from screen, will remain login for few minutes(1-2 min.), then automatically Logout.
while Server 2 HMI does not have any problem related to displaying Access Login.

We have a redundant set up of D200's that feed data to Powerlink/Cimplicity. Recently we had to do a minor configuration update to the Primary/Secondary D200, so we have to initiate a failover to keep the system running while we do the downloads.
For some reason, Powerlink goes crazy. Our Powerlink feeds an SQL database. After we initiate a failover on the D200, PLA sends a bunch of bad data to our SQL database. Some points will be sent as incorrect OPEN, CLOSE until everything stabilizes.
Similar issues also occur when we restart PLA.
Is there any way to control what seems like a massive feeding of info from PLA to the database on start up?
Why would the PLA act up like this on the D200 failover?
Im aware of the Correcstat log, but as its not very big, and re-writes over itself rather quickly, is there an actual Event Log that stores more information in Cimplicity/PLA?

I have iFix 3.5 with local (classic) historical data collected at a frequency of 1s for 15 tags. I am using Crystal Reports 8.5 to plot these tags (on separate subreport charts) and subsequently generate a batch report after approximately 16 hours of running. However, the trend plot for the last 5 charts intermittently fails. Sometimes the 5th from the end will be partially drawn and the last few are totally blank. Other times there may be blank charts in the middle of the report!
Anyone seen this before or know how I may resolve this problem.

I have Cimplicity 8.1 SIM 12 HMI redundant system running on Windows server 2008 RS2 OS.
Whenever (start(dynamic mode) or stop) i'll add new device in project on primary server, the secondary server never apply configuration from primary server. For example: device1 with some points have ip: 1.1.1.1. On the secondary server this device is added, but ip is 0.0.0.0. And then switches from the primary server to the secondary some objects of projects not visible.
Previously, we stopped projects. Disconnect the network from the redundant server. Put in settings of the redundant server - the master and set the device configuration.
Is there any way to easier?
P.S. Sorry for my english.

I have a Logix5000 program loaded in an emulator and I'm using the OPC driver. The topic is properly setup in RSLinx. My problem is that the only data that is coming through is either a AR or DR. None of the AI, DI, or DA tags are getting data into IFIX. But if I open the OPC Power Tool, the data is good and showing valid numbers that match what is in the PLC. I'm having trouble finding the disconnect between the OPC and IFIX.
Any ideas?

Any one know how to Sync the time between server and clients with Cimplicity? The clients do not have an internet connection so internet time is not an option. Tried enabling W32 time service on the server which turned out being a problem so ended up disabling it again.
Running Cimplicity vers 7.5 sim11
Server 2003, XP clients.
Thanks

Dear All,
I need an urgent help on following issue.
I'm using COMM_REQ command to read data from a remote PLC.
I've defined a DATA_INIT_COMM command before the COMM_REQ command and requested 23 bits (%M00001 - %M00020) to be read from Remote PLC.
Destination memory location on Local PLC is %AI00001- %AI00002.
Local PLC successfully reads first 8 bits but fails to read next 8 bits. Next 7 bits are again successfully read.
Why it misses reading the bits in between the chunk.

I have an object that I what to move from its original location in increments until it reaches a certain horizontal or vertical value and then return to the original location. The script I have works fine until the original location value randomly changes even though the location is written to only once.
Private Sub A_Screw_Animation_OnTimeOut(ByVal lTimerId As Long)
On Error Resume Next '<---modal command, turns off VBA error code generation
Static Screw1_StartVerticalPosition As Single
Static Screw1_EndVerticalPosition As Single
Static RunOnce As Integer
If RunOnce = 0 Then
Screw1_StartVerticalPosition = SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition
Screw1_EndVerticalPosition = Screw1_StartVerticalPosition - 1.374
RunOnce = 1
End If
If 1 = 1 Then
If SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition > Screw1_EndVerticalPosition Then
SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition = SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition - 0.106
Else: SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition = Screw1_StartVerticalPosition
End If
Else: SCREEN.Screw1.VerticalPosition = Screw1_StartVerticalPosition
End If
On Error GoTo 0 '<----- modal command to turn VBA error code generation back on
End Sub

I developed a script on site and have been working on it in a VMware session with no PLCs and I noticed that one of the IF statements Im working on always runs. I had been using hardcoded values to test with but I noticed it still ran when I put the tag back in.
If Fix32.SCADA.TAG.F_CV = 1 Then
MsgBox ("Script Run")
End If
So even though the tag TAG has a current value of ???? the IF statement resolves and I get a message box. That seems kind of not right. Am I missing something, if it's anything other than a "1" why is it running?

I have a 9030 CPU 350. I am using a COMM_REQ and BLK_MOV to reset the HSC to zero. My question is when I put 4 in the SYSI of the COMM_REQ or 0004 when I have the HSC in the main rack everything works just fine. But when I move the HSC to an expansion rack and put 0104 In the SYSI it does not work or clear to zero. I took the Handy Dandy COMM_REQ Wizzard and when it created the logic it had a 16#0104 for the SYSI. The Manual GFK-0293 did not reference the 16# just the rack and slot as per 0104 as on page 4-20 and 4-21. Could someone try to explain why this is.. Thanks.

Do you know if I can reload data into a variable after changing its Sampling Type.
My example is: variable originally configured with "Last Good Value". I changed it to "Maximum". If I reload the data (as far back as 2 years), will I get the re-configured data, showing "Maximum" ? If reloading data itself isn't possible, can I re-fire the events using the spserver_cmnaddscheduledtask stored procedure?
Thanks,
Fred Lutz
