I'm using task priorities to show the last started Task Steps on the top of others already running Tasks in the Mobile Task List (like Z-order in HMI systems).
Whenever I've edited a workflow - configured task priorities stops to work - Task Steps of the edited workflow doesn't show up on the top of other Tasks both in the Task List and in the Mobile Task List. I've tried to override priorities in schedules - no impact. Restarting of the Proficy Server service didn't help either.
That's a bit annoying for operator - he(she) should explicitly choose a Task to see Task Steps.
The sequence is like that: Workflow1 (priority 2) => Start Schedule2 ("Wait for the workflow to complete")=>runs Workflow2(priority 1) => Start Schedule3("Wait for the workflow to complete")=>runs Workflow3 (priority 0, the highest one).
Any help is really appreciated.
P.S. Enviroment: Proficy Workflow 2.2, Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.

Dear,
Is there any procedure to reset the parameters to default factory settings?
I try to communicate with a IC200UDR140 ME 6.5 and is not possible. I place the PLC in STOP mode and 19200 baud, odd parity, 1 stop bit in the PC port.
Some unknown trick?

Hi,
Do set/reset coils recognize transitions in PME? Or do I need to use a transition coil first?
Thanks

I am disappointed that MBE driver needs license dongle to work in new iFix 5.8. We cannot check communication in demo mode while developing.

Hi,
We're trying to run an old VB6 application using Cimplicity COM components such as 'CimEdit.tlb', 'CimServer.tlb', 'CimVB.dll', etc. on a new Windows 2008 R2 (64 bit) server.
We're running into an error "429 ActiveX Component Can't Create Object" when we try to instance the 'CimSystem' object (part of CimServer.tlb). We've tried many things but nothing works... The same application works fine on a Windows XP (32 bit) computer.
Do you know if those COM components are supposed to be 64 bit compatible and how to make them work?
Thanks in advance !

I am having an issue with the PDS driver in Cimplicity 8.2 SIM24. I have updated to PDS 3.6.9 without solving the problem.
I am reading symbolic values from an Rx7i PLC. When a floating point number becomes very small (for example 2.45677e-45) the point will go invalid in Cimplicity. Once the value in the PLC changes to a resonable number the point values begin updating again in Cimplicity.

Here is my challenge. We currently have 3 production lines with 7 Rx7is on each line. At the front of each of the lines we have a genius module sending inputs to all 7 Rx7is. We are in the beginning stages of replacing all the Rx7s with Rx3is. We would like to use Profinet to replace this function because the signals are very time critical. To the best of my understanding you can only have one PNC talking to a PNS. Any suggestion/help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I am trying to setup an MBE IGS driver to allow us to send data from our iFix server to IGS setup as Modbus Ethernet , which one of our clients Reads data from into their systems, also they need to send us data back.
we have installed also the Historian collector to allow us to read data directly into our Historian.
if I setup the IGS driver as Modbus serial slave we can successfully write data to the device but our client cannot read it, if we set the IGS driver up as MBE then we cannot write the data but our client can see the tags but obviously their is no good data to read...??

I'm getting the following error in the IFIX event files...

I have an issue with tag descriptions not being resolved in the HTD application (tag name and value ok) and wonder if this error is pointing to the problem?

I am new to the Versamax line, so please forgive me for this question. Does the Versamax not support symbolic addressing. This particular application is a Versamax 40. I looked at the the memory map on the processor and did not see it listed, and everytime I try to create one I have to give it a reference address to get the program to validate. No big deal, just a little frustrating have to reference everything to a address.

Hi,
I have two redundant Cipmlicity servers (8.2 SIM 24) and one viewer. I have done the following configuration regarding the DNS's and data logging:
1- At the Primary server:
a) ODBC connection (Name: FIRST SQL) to look at PRIMARY\CIMPLICITY database
b) ODBC connection (Name: SECOND SQL) to look at SECONDARY\CIMPLICITY database
2- At the Secondary server:
a) ODBC connection (Name: FIRST SQL) to look at PRIMARY\CIMPLICITY database
b) ODBC connection (Name: SECOND SQL) to look at SECONDARY\CIMPLICITY database
3- In Cimplicity Database Logger settings I have configured following DSN's;
Point Connection-Master: FIRST SQL
Alarm Connection-Master: FIRST SQL
Point Connection-Slave: SECOND SQL
Alarm Connection-Slave: SECOND SQL
I'm facing a problem in the logged data when I do the following scenario:
1- Both servers are running ----> Data is logged in both Primary & Secondary databases.
2- Primary server is shutdown ----> Data is logged in the Secondary database.
3- Primary server is up again ----> Data is logged in both Primary & Secondary databases but they are not synchronized.
How can I guarantee that if any of the databases is not available for nay reason will get synchronized by the active one when it becomes available again??
Appreciate ur help.

Hi all:
I've been missing from this forum for a while now, but I hope you all will take a moment to fill out the survey which went out to globalCare members this morning.
thanks
-j.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear GlobalCare Member:
In order to make our products easier and quicker to deliver to you, our customers, we are in the process of implementing a new streamlined and simplified order and fulfillment process. We will also be migrating to a new licensing system where you trade out your current licensing for the new licenses, which are available in a secure, keyless manner (USB keys will continue to be available as an option).
This new process not only gives you instant delivery of your purchased licensing by way of an emailed access code (which allows you to go online and retrieve your licensing), it also provides you with the ability to configure and manage your licenses locally. In an effort to minimize disruption for you, this can be done machine by machine as you purchase new licenses or upgrade existing licenses. More information is coming, however we want to make sure we are as prepared to do this seamlessly as possible.
In order to assure we have accounted for all possible configurations, we are asking you to take a short 2 minute survey. We would appreciate responses by Friday, February 14th.
The survey link is:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DVKDCFX
Thank you for your time and assistance. Additional details on our new licensing will be forthcoming.
