Dear All,
Need help again, :).
At the moment the GMR dual redundancy system already running.
The output block is installed as I-Block Output Group.
Reference to GFK-1277G, page 3-23. (my interpretation)
1.The operation of I-Block Output Group is:
If the output is ON under normal condition. Then if there is either one of sink or source output fail, the output will stay ON. And in this condition, replacing the faulty module is possible at this point of time (meaning = turn off the faulty module and replace with new module).
Question: is my interpretation correct? Can we replace the faulty (either sink or source) module block and in the mean time the healthy module keep the output ON?
The default states for the output blocks are set to 0. The duplex default is ON, the Normal state is high.
2. Reference to GFK-1277G, page 3-23, "If either of the two busses serving an I-Block Output Group is damaged or cut, outputs for the block wired to that bus are set to their configured default states. The remaining block on the functioning bus will still allow the load to be turned off."
In this case, if there is cable break, base on the above module setting, the output will go to default state 0 (OFF).
If one bus cable break, I need the output to be kept ON. If two buses cable break, it is ok that the output can go to the default state 0 (OFF).
Question: How to get the second setup ? Can we use override from application program to do it?
I read in Appendix B, that need to use MODBUS communication if we want to use override from application program. We only can use Ethernet communication at the moment. How?
Thanks in advance. :)
